Traveling to Odessa, TX that same summer, he performed at the Juneteenth Rally In The Park”. After focusing back on track and field and school work he attended Grambling State University in 1998. This move across the country opened his eyes to the music again and the calling began to tug at his heart. After moving to Los Angeles, CA he began to release songs at his new university Cal State L.A and took home a trophy in the 2002 Rapp Search Contest.
